How It Started

White Oaks Ranch was established in 1968, beginning as a humble purchase of land nestled on the shoreline of Lake Nacimiento. With a vision for what the land could become, Karen and Bill set to work bringing the ranch to life.

While working full-time in the Tri Counties, they spent every Thursday evening driving to the ranch after work, slowly building and shaping what would become White Oaks Ranch as it’s known today.

As plumbers by trade, Bill and Karen prioritized infrastructure first, ensuring reliable water access throughout the property.

Karen began developing a bountiful garden, lined with fruit trees, followed by the construction of horse stables, corrals, and a residential barn. With the foundation in place, cattle were eventually added, marking the beginning of the ranch’s livestock operation.

How It’s Going

Today, day-to-day operations at White Oaks Ranch are managed by Bill and Karen’s youngest grandson, Tucker. With strong involvement from Ingalls family, the ranch remains a true family operation.

Together, our family is dedicated to responsible management, hands-on care, and the continuous improvement of the ranch for generations to come.
